COPPERLODE DRILL RESULTS INCONCLUSIVE
February 19,2003
Tribute Minerals Inc. (TBM) reports that the results from its recent two hole (400m) drill program have created uncertainty over the location and orientation of an historic drill hole on the Copperlode property, Confederation Lake belt, Red Lake Mining District.
In December 2002, Tribute drilled two holes to twin and extend to depth an historic gold intersection (see Press Release Dec.17, 2003). The recent drilling intersected low grade, disseminated base metal values, and intense major and trace element alteration associated with the VMS-style mineralization of the known D Zone. However, the results from a gold perspective bore no correlation to historic values.
Tribute plans to survey the collar locations of the historic drill holes this spring and to conduct further drilling on this highly prospective gold target in the upcoming summer exploration season.
