TRIBUTE TO INITIATE SUMMER DRILL PROGRAM BASED ON NEW RESULTS FROM TITAN-24 SURVEY

May 5th, 2003

Tribute Minerals Inc. ('Tribute') is pleased to announce the successful results from the second Titan-24 geophysical survey on the Dixie property, Confederation Lake Belt, Red Lake Mining District.

The follow-up survey was conducted to confirm and further define the data previously obtained from an OMET-sponsored technology demonstration (Press Release Dec. 2, 2002) completed on the Dixie property by Quantec Geosciences. This program employed Quantec's 'state of the art' deep earth imaging Titan-24 technology. Reports from the first survey indicate that a large unexplained deep conductivity anomaly exists at depths greater than 700 m. The main features of this second survey confirm the location of the target anomaly, extend the strike length to over 2.5 kms and indicate that the 'zone of interest' is getting closer to surface in the west, at depths of approximately 300 m.

With the latest TITAN-24 data in hand Tribute will initiate its summer drill program to begin testing the physical characteristics of this target, and continue the 3-dimensional imaging of the exploration target area. The company intends to drill 3 or 4 holes initially, to depths varying between 1,500 and 2,500 metres, to test the anomaly and to enhance the detection imaging and exploration value of the TITAN-24 system.

Tribute also intends to aggressively employ the Titan-24 technology across other target zones on its substantial land package in the Confederation Lake Belt, and has identified the "Top Five" areas to be surveyed over the next three months. These targets will then be drilled if warranted.

"We believe the Titan-24 system represents the latest in state of the art technology and will have a significant impact on how mineral exploration will be conducted in the future. Deposits previously undetectable below the 300 m horizon will be detected and drilled, hopefully with success rates significantly improved" said Ian A. Brodie-Brown, President and CEO of Tribute Minerals. - " We as a company have already capitalized on this new development and we fully intend to continue to do so. Ontario and specifically the Canadian Shield are home to many World-Class ore bodies, which were detectable due to their proximity to surface. The technology now exists to see to previously undetectable depths. Companies utilizing this and other advances in scientific research will lead the world to new discoveries."
