Tribute To Add Second Drill In Confederation Lake

Sept. 12, 2003 TSXV: TBM

Tribute Minerals is pleased to announce that a second drill is to be mobilized on the Confederation Lake Belt in the Red Lake Mining district. The second drill will be targeting anomalies defined by a recent Quantec Geosciences TITAN-24 survey conducted on the Fredart Lake property. The TITAN-24 anomalies are coincident with an intense, 3 kilometre long magnetic feature identified in a ground geophysical survey completed by Tribute, and ground electromagnetic, geological and diamond drilling data compiled from the government assessment files. Fredart Lake is host to an historical resource estimated at 428,000 t/ 1.56% Cu (Copper). The resource has not been reviewed to conform to the current reporting guidelines. Phase-1 of the Fredart Lake program is scheduled to complete three holes.

Tribute would also like to take this opportunity to update its shareholders on the progress of the Dixie program. Currently drill hole DX-2003-01 continues to progress towards its intended target depth of 1800-2000 metres. Further holes will be ongoing on this property.

The Confederation Lake exploration programs are under the direction of Greg Davison, P.Geo., Vice-President Exploration, Tribute Minerals, and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI 43-101.
