Tribute Options Claims To Vencan Gold Corporation

Ian Brodie-Brown, President & CEO of Tribute Minerals Inc. ("Tribute") is pleased to announce the signing of an option agreement with Vencan Gold Corporation ("Vencan"). The land package in the Woman River Anticline completes a very important land acquisition strategy for Vencan in the Western Extension of the Abitibi-Swayze Greenstone Belt.

Vencan can acquire a 75% interest in the Tribute (Woman River) Property by making staged payments totalling forty-five thousand ($45,000.00) and issuing five-hundred thousand (500,000) common shares of the company over the next year. Tribute would also retain a two-percent (2.0 %) NSR with provisions for a Vencan buy-back of one-percent (1%) for up to five (5) years from date of Agreement and is carried to a bankable feasibility study.

In Ontario the prolific Abitibi sub province is host to many of Canada's largest gold mines. Recent studies of the data now clearly identify the Swayze Greenstone Belt as being part of the Western Abitibi greenstone Belt. Ontario Government geologists have identified the Vencan parcel of land in this area as one of the ten (10) best Gold targets in Ontario.

Ian Brodie-Brown, President & CEO of Tribute Minerals stated that Tribute is pleased to be a partner in this renewed quest for gold exploration in an area that could offer the same potential as the remainder of the Abitibi Belt and recognizes that this ground in combination with the Vencan properties offers a number of very interesting gold targets. Tribute's primary focus continues to be the Confederation land package.

Richard Schler, VP Finance & CFO of Vencan Gold stated that Vencan is currently in the process of completing its first phase of financing. The overall objective is to raise in the order of $700,000 for an accelerated fall and early winter exploration/drill program on the claims referred to as the "Cayenne" (Vencan) and "Chili" (Tribute) properties.
