TRIBUTE ASSAYS RETURN 13.6 GRAMS GOLD OVER 6.23 FEET

Tribute Minerals reports that the assays released on July 25, 2006, which included certain over limit assays have significantly increased in gold values.  Hole GL2006-26 on the Garnet Lake Property encountered two previously reported VMS zones.  The second lower zone contained over limit assays for gold and zinc.

The second zone from 320.5-323.0 metres down hole of 2.5 metres (1.9 metres true width) now grades 13.4% Zn, 0.67% Cu, 13.6 g/t Au, 55 g/t Ag and 29.6 g/t In.  This is compared to the previously announced 13.2% Zn, 0.76 % Cu, 2.58 g/t Au, 55 g/t Ag and 29.6 g/t In.

The upper zone from 290.5-302.0 metres down hole of 11.5 metres (8.74 metres true width) grading 8.24% Zn, 0.25% Cu, 0.24 g/t Au, 30.1 g/t Ag and 10.7 g/t In remains unchanged.

Tribute would also like to state that the drill program has now moved to the western down plunge extension and drilling will be on going in this location.  Tribute drilled a further five holes to the east of the two holes reported July 25, and assays are pending.

The over limit assay for zinc was completed by titration (Zn-VOL50).  The over limit assay for Au plus re-analyses of two additional high Au samples were completed using a complete Au-screen fire assay - 100 um (Au-SCR21) requiring a 250 gm aliquot of sample.  ALS Chemex in North Vancouver completed the analyses . The Garnet Lake exploration program is under the direction of Trevor Boyd, Ph.D., P.Geo., Consultant, Tribute Minerals; and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI43-101.
