Tribute Intersects More High Grade at Garnet Lake
4.43 metres (True Width) - 18.3%Zinc, 81.2g/t Indium
Tribute is pleased to announce a high-grade Zn intersection from the first
drill-hole of its winter 2006 drilling program on the Garnet Lake Property,
Confederation Lake belt. The hole was drilled 175 metres west along strike and
shallowly down plunge of the most westerly previous hole that intersected Arrow Zone
high-grade mineralization. Hole GL2006-18 intersected 87 metres of highly altered
volcanic rocks and chloritite sediment hosting iron and base metal suphides
including from 513.5 to 518.9 metres downhole a 5.4 metre section (4.43 metres true
width) of net-textured to massive sphalerite with disseminated chalcopyrite. Assays
of the section reported a composite grade of 18.3% Zn, 0.66% Cu, 0.46 g/t Au, 25.7
g/t Ag, 81.2 g/t Indium and 76.8 g/t Gallium with one 0.5 metre sample of over-limit >30% Zn still pending. This hole has recorded the highest ever Indium assays
reported on the property.
Tribute is very encouraged by the results of this hole because the scale and
intensity of VMS style alteration, and the overall thickness of sulphide
mineralization indicative of a large hydrothermal system increases along strike to
the west; and it demonstrates that this system continues to be capable of hosting
high grade precious metal bearing Zn and Cu sulphide lenses in that direction. The
results confirm that the Arrow Zone remains open to the west and shows potential for
significant widening. Drilling continues along strike of GL-2006-18 and further core
has been sent for assay, results pending.
All core samples are split in half using a diamond saw and sealed in secure
packages, shipped by bonded air carrier from Red Lake to ALS Chemex in Thunder Bay
for preparation, and to ALS Chemex in North Vancouver for AU-AA62 assay (gold by
fire assay with AA finish) and ME-MS61 47 element analysis (4 acid dissolution and
ICP-MS). High analyses (>10,000ppm, 1%) for copper and zinc were submitted for ore
grade AA62 analysis (4 acid dissolution with AA finish). A duplicate unknown to the
laboratory is submitted for analyses per batch of ten samples. Standard QA/QC
protocols were fulfilled by ALS Chemex; Tribute will submit pulp samples of the high
grade samples to a second commercial laboratory for assay and analytical checks.
The Confederation Lake exploration programs are under the direction of Trevor Boyd,
P.Geo., Geological Consultant, Tribute Minerals, and a qualified person (QP) for the
purposes of NI 43-101.
This core will be on display at the Prospectors and Developers Convention in
Toronto, at Tribute's booth, #2402.
The Company currently has 47,571,910 common shares issued and outstanding.
