Tribute Announces Additional Results From Fall, 2006 Drill Program
Tribute Minerals (the 'Company' or 'Tribute') (TSX V:TBM) announces the return of additional analyses from the Fall 2006 drill program on its Confederation Project Garnet Lake Property in Northwestern Ontario. Indium analyses with an average grade of 33.1 g/t are reported for the high-grade intersection of Hole GL-2006-39 drilled in November, 2006 (previously announced results of 20.3% Zn, 1.23% Cu, 0.47g/t Au and 28.06g/t Ag) from 339.1 - 343.1 metres down-hole (3.05 metres true width). Additional sampling from up-hole sections containing semi-massive to massive iron, zinc and copper sulphides have returned significant grades over 40 metres including 1.2 metres of 7.37% Zn, 0.42% Cu, 0.23 g/t Au, 144 g/t Ag and 45.5 g/t Indium from 326.8 to 328.0 metres down-hole (0.9 metres true width) and 4.8 metres of 2.24% Zn, 0.77% Cu, 0.10 g/t Au, 82.2 g/t Ag and 3.26 g/t Indium from 303.2.6 - 308.0 metres down-hole (3.6 metres true width) including a high grade core of 1.1 metres (0.8 metres true width) of 8.08% Zn, 3.30% Cu, 0.36 g/t Au, 354 g/t Ag and 13.1 g/t Indium.
Analyses of core samples from Hole GL-2006-36, drilled directly down-dip from GL-2006-35 in November, have returned two sections of semi-massive to massive iron and zinc sulphides containing low but significantly anomalous Zn, Cu and Ag values. Samples from GL-2006-38 also drilled in November directly up-dip from previous Hole GL-2006-28 at the far eastern end of the Arrow Zone intersected iron sulphides. These results continue to demonstrate that the mineralized envelope associated with the Arrow Zone remains open down- and up-dip over a wide area throughout the deposit; the primary open trend of the high grade zone within this envelope continues westward along strike and down plunge from GL-2006-35 where drilling this winter is presently focused.
Core samples were split in half using a diamond saw, sealed in secure packages and shipped by bonded carrier to S.G.S. Laboratories in Red Lake and Toronto for FAA303 assay (gold by fire assay with AA finish) and ICM40B multi-element analysis (ICP-AES and ICP-MS after multi-acid dissolution), respectively. High analyses (greater than 10,000 ppm, 1%) for copper, zinc and (greater than 30 ppm) silver were submitted for ore grade AA analysis. A duplicate unknown to the laboratory is submitted per batch of ten samples. A polymetallic standard, unknown to the laboratories, is included with each shipment of samples. S.G.S. fulfilled standard QA/QC protocols. The Confederation Lake exploration program is under the direction of Trevor Boyd, P.Geo, Geological Consultant, Tribute, and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI 43-101.
