Tribute Commences Winter Drill Program

Tribute Minerals Inc. (the ‘Company’ or ‘Tribute’) is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2007 winter drill program on its Confederation Project, Garnet Lake Property in Northwestern Ontario. Planned drill-holes will be from set-ups located on the north side of Garnet Lake focusing on extending the Arrow Zone westward from previous hole GL-2006-35.  Analytical results are still pending from additional core samples taken from hole GL-2006-39 plus samples from GL-2006-36 drilled down-dip from GL-2006- 35 and GL-2006-38 drilled directly up-dip from previous hole GL-2006-28 during the fall of 2006.

In addition, the Company has initiated the permitting process with the Ontario Government for obtaining permission to gather an underground bulk sample of the Arrow Zone for metallurgical testing with the purpose of assessing recoveries of Zn, Cu, Au, Ag and Indium from the high-grade massive sulphide body.  A Notice of Project Status - Advanced Exploration has been submitted to the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.  Environmental and geotechnical studies on the site are planned to commence in the spring of 2007 together with a public consultation process with the purpose of starting underground development later that year as soon as appropriate permits are granted.

The Confederation Project exploration program is under the direction of Trevor Boyd, P.Geo, Geological Consultant, Tribute, and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI 43-101.
