Tribute Minerals Inc. (the ‘Company’ or ‘Tribute’) is pleased to announce continuing drilling results on its Confederation Lake Belt, Garnet Lake property located in Northwestern Ontario.
Analyses have been completed for holes GL-2007-48 and GL-2007-49 on the Garnet Lake Property. Hole GL-2006-49 intersected a section of massive, semi-massive and stringer base metal sulphides with an overall grade of 6.41% Zn, 0.99% Cu, 0.80 g/t Au, 27.1 g/t Silver and 27.0 g/t Indium over 12.9 metres (10.6 metres true width) from 475.4 – 488.3 metres down-hole, including a high grade section of 4.9 metres (4.05 metres true width) grading 11.5% Zn, 1.48% Cu, 1.32 g/t Au, 43.3 g/t Ag and 48.3 g/t Indium. The hole tested the Arrow Zone 40 metres down-dip from the original discovery holes GL-97-2C and GL-97-04. This intercept extends the centre of the Arrow Zone down-dip as it is located approximately 40 metres west and along strike of previous Hole GL-97-05 that had interested no significant sulphides and was originally thought to locally cut off the Arrow Zone at depth. As a result of this intersection, Hole GL-2007-50, for which analyses are pending, has been drilled to test the Arrow Zone 60 metres down-dip of GL-2007-49.
Hole GL-2007-48, which was drilled to test the Arrow Zone west of previous Hole GL-97- 12 in the central part of the Arrow Zone, intersected mixed stringer and massive iron and base metal sulphides. Analyses returned values of 2.61% Zn, 0.42% Cu, 15.3 g/t Ag, 0.70 g/t Au and 24.6 g/t Indium over 3.5 metres (2.9 metres true width) from 391.0 – 394.5 metres down-hole. Drilling continues on the property.
Core samples were split in half using a diamond saw and sealed in secure packages, shipped by bonded carrier from Ear Falls to ALS Chemex in Thunder Bay for preparation, and to ALS Chemex in North Vancouver for AU-AA62 assay (gold by fire assay with AA finish) and ME-MS61 47 element analysis (4 acid dissolution and ICP-MS). High analyses (>10,000 ppm, 1%) for copper, zinc and (>100 ppm) silver were submitted for ore grade AA62 analysis (4 acid dissolution with AA finish). A duplicate unknown to the laboratory is submitted per batch of ten samples. A polymetallic standard, unknown to the laboratories, is included with each submission of samples. ALS Chemex fulfilled standard QA/QC protocols. The Confederation Lake exploration program is under the direction of Trevor Boyd, P.Geo, Geological Consultant, Tribute, and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI 43-101
