Tribute Minerals Inc. (the ‘Company’ or ‘Tribute’) is pleased to announce the return of the final results from its winter drilling program on its Confederation Lake Belt Garnet Lake and Copperlode properties located in Northwestern Ontario.
Analyses have been returned for Hole GL-2007-46 on the Garnet Lake Property. The hole tested the Arrow Zone 50 metres down-dip from previous Hole GL-2006-25. Hole GL-2006-46 intersected two massive sulphide zones over 4.9 metres (4.24 metres true width) grading 4.36% Zn, 0.24% Cu, 14.9 g/t Ag, 0.16 g/t Au and 35.4 g/t Indium including a high grade 1.2 metres section (1.04 metres true width) grading 15.9% Zn, 0.52% Cu, 52.7 g/t Ag, 0.45 g/t Au and 118 g/t Indium.
On the adjacent Copperlode Property, in the vicinity of the Copperlode D, E and Hornet Zones, analyses have been completed for holes CL-2007-02 and GL-2007-03 located 100 metres along strike and up-dip of Hole CL-2007-01, respectively. Hole CL-2007-02 intersected a 15.9 metre down-hole zone (12.9 metres true width) of disseminated, stringer and semi-massive sulphides grading 1.52% Zn, 0.08% Cu, 2.2 g/t Ag and 11.8 g/t Indium. Hole GL-2007-03 intersected a semi-massive zone of mostly iron sulphides with values of 0.89% Zn, 0.09% Cu and 7.7 g/t Ag over 4.4 metres (3.8 metres true width). Further drilling is planned this year in order to follow this mineralized zone along strike to the East and West.
On the Garnet Property, the spring drill program has now commenced which is focusing on expanding the size of the central and western parts of the Arrow Zone. Drill Hole Inverse Polarization (DHIP) and Gyroscopic surveys have been completed for selected holes west of the Arrow Zone and are presently being interpreted to aid in targeting exploration this spring and summer.
Core samples were split in half using a diamond saw and sealed in secure packages, shipped by bonded carrier from Ear Falls to ALS Chemex in Thunder Bay for preparation, and to ALS Chemex in North Vancouver for AU-AA62 assay (gold by fire assay with AA finish) and ME-MS61 47 element analysis (4 acid dissolution and ICP-MS). High analyses (>10,000 ppm, 1%) for copper, zinc and (>100 ppm) silver were submitted for ore grade AA62 analysis (4 acid dissolution with AA finish). A duplicate unknown to the laboratory is submitted per batch of ten samples. A polymetallic standard, unknown to the laboratories, is included with each submission of samples. ALS Chemex fulfilled standard QA/QC protocols. The Confederation Lake exploration program is under the direction of Trevor Boyd, P.Geo, Geological Consultant, Tribute, and a qualified person (QP) for the purposes of NI 43-101.
On behalf of the Board of Directors,
Ian A. Brodie-Brown, President.
